Huddersfield Town have completed and the signing of Danny Simpson as a free agent.
Simpson s career started back in 2005/06 with Manchester United, but despite spending five years on their books, he only managed to rack up eight appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils, which all came in 2007/08. He was mostly out on loan, and he played for Royal Antwerp, Sunderland, Ipswich Town and Blackburn Rovers, and eventually, Newcastle United. He ended up joining the Magpies permanently in 2010, but after three years at St James Park, he went on to Queen s Park Rangers. At the very end of the 2014 summer transfer window he moved again, this time to Leicester City. He spent five years with the Foxes, playing in 133 games in their shirt and helping them make history in 2015/16, when they shocked the world by winning the Premier League.
Last season he was hardly needed, appearing only nine times in the entire campaign, and the club saw no reason to extend their deal with the 32-year-old defender.
He will now be playing for Huddersfield Town in the Championship.
